Museum

When working with the identification and taxonomy of new species (neotypes and topotypes), storing the studied individuals' biological material in a museum is necessary for future research.

For this reason, the Nupecce Museum presents in its collection skins, bones, and skulls of several species of Neotropical deer. Currently, it has approximately 120 pieces, which could be objects of study for many generations, allowing the perpetuation of research for species conservation.

The taxidermy procedures are carried out by the NUPECCE team itself.
